Last Week my new friend Kat invited me to come out to her softball game and photograph. I jumped at the chance, having not photographed many sporting events in a long while. So I donned my trusty teal patagonia, grabbed my gear and headed out to the field in San Rafael. It was a particularly cold and windy night; a sudden reminder that it was, in fact, March and barely spring even though it was 78 degrees and still earlier in the day. Even with the blowing dust and my frozen finger tips, I enjoyed the game (Kat’s team won!), and had a great time experimenting with this type of photography and battling the constantly changing light conditions. During the game I found myself with an intense craving for garlic fries and red vine licorice ropes.
